St. Michael’s Chaldean Catholic Church

Our Parish

Welcome to St. Michael’s Chaldean Catholic Church, a vibrant spiritual community nestled in the heart of El Cajon, California. Established with a commitment to nurturing faith, fostering fellowship, and upholding Chaldean traditions, our church stands as a beacon of hope and unity for all who seek to enrich their spiritual journey.

We are a Catholic parish that celebrates the divine Chaldean liturgy of the Chaldean Catholic Church, in full communion with Rome and the Holy See.

We strive to help one another in growing our relationship with Our Lord, and ultimately achieve the greatest goal in life: becoming saints.

Our Heritage and Values

Founded on the rich heritage of the Chaldean Catholic tradition, St. Michael’s is a haven where generations come together to celebrate their faith, culture, and shared values. We hold dear the teachings of Jesus Christ, drawing inspiration from our Chaldean roots while embracing the diverse backgrounds of our parishioners. Our liturgy comes from the writing of St. Thomas the Apostle and Mar Adai.

While we are an Eastern rite parish under the Chaldean Church who celebrates the Chaldean liturgy of the divine mass, we are in full communion with Rome. We recognize the Holy Father as the successor of St. Peter and true head of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostic Church.

Worship and Sacraments

At the core of our community is our devotion to the divine celebration of the holy mass. Through inspiring liturgical services and sacraments, we create an atmosphere of reverence and connection to worship our one Lord, Jesus Christ. Our engaging and spiritually uplifting divine celebrations provide a platform for individuals and families to grow in their relationship with God.

We enable a community of worship through many celebrations, including:

  • Ramsha (daily prayer)
  • Celebration of the Holy Mass

  • Celebration of the Sacraments
